Choosing the right survey

• RICS Home Condition Report Level 1

The RICS Condition Report is the most basic of our property surveys. It covers the defects, urgent problems or potential dangers of a property and helps you to make the most well-informed decision about your purchase of property.

• RICS Home Survey Level 2 (without valuation)

A Homebuyer’s Survey will help you make a well-informed decision about purchasing a property. It can help assess whether you’re paying a fair price as well as minimising the risk of unexpected issues and costs arising in the future. If your property was built after 1850, isn’t listed, hasn’t had alterations, and is generally in good condition, you will likely need a homebuyer survey.

• RICS Home Survey Level 2 (with valuation)

Same a Homebuyers survey above but with a valuation section that will advise you if the agree purchase price is reasonable in the context of the survey.

• RICS Home Survey Level 3

A RICS Building Survey is the most detailed of our property surveys. The Building Survey gives you a thorough assessment of the structure, condition, and construction of a property, as well as technical advice on any repairs needed. If your property was built in or before the 1850s, is listed, has had alterations, or is not in good condition, you will likely need a building survey.
